Brandon Hamada is the first person that I interviewed during the ART-110 art gallery on Thursday. We both met each other in the room filled with art work by Maccabee Shelley. We were standing around in the room looking at the glass art and started a conversation with each other. To my surprise, he was also a student who is majoring in engineering. Although my major is Computer Engineering while he is majoring in Mechanical Engineering, it was great meeting a fellow engineering student. While we walked around looking at the glass art displays, we talked about what we want to do in the future. Brandon told me that Mechanical Engineering was not what he had expected and is planning on changing his major in the near future.
He does not know what major he wants to change to, but he does know what he wants to do in the future. Brandon is interested in video games and their stories. He has stories that he wants to bring to life and tell the world through the use of games. It is important to have a good story when it comes to video games. It is what makes the game interesting and entertaining to the audience. Brandon knows what he wants to do and I respect him for that. I recommend changing to a Computer Science major because it will help him not only understand how games are programmed, but also steer him towards a career that is closely related to video games. I really hope Brandon will be able to one day tell his story to the world.
Good luck Brandon!
